Jhanelle Elissa is a Jamaican-American actress and director from Miami, Florida. She began her career appearing in commercials for brands like Walmart, Xfinity, and Google. She has starred in several films, including ‘Blood of Your Generation’ by Cannes Film Festival alumni TJ Penton, End of Summer, and the recent thriller, 'Froggy'. Jhanelle also made waves with her powerful narrative short LISTEN, which tackled social activism and garnered attention at Oscar-qualifying festivals. Expanding into directing, she is

making a name for herself in commercials, music videos, and dance films, and recently launched the multimedia company, AvenueColor. Jhanelle has worked on NBC, HBO, and multiple streaming platforms. She is known to captivate in each role, and is passionate about telling rousing, dynamic, and honest stories about the human experience. Outside of her work in film & TV, Jhanelle is a service-oriented entrepreneur. She is the mind behind the live experiences platform, Jiive, and is the co-founder of Playlist of Color.
